I was ordained with Anchor Bay about four years ago, when my wife Beverly and I started pastoring our church "The Eagles Nest Church" in Port Charlotte, Fl. It wasn't long until we started experiencing growing pains. After a year and a half we moved our church to Ft. Myers, Fl. We grew from about fifty people, to over eighty people. On February the 28th of 2010 we moved into our third building about five miles down the road. We are currently running about 125 in attendance. We discovered that as our church has been growing, keeping up with all the many different facets of ministry can be very challenging. One of the vital parts of any ministry is to have good financial book keeping and accountability. We needed help in this area, and I did not know where to turn. One day as I was praying and seeking an answer to our dilemma, the Lord brought to my remembrance, Mike and Myrna Whiddon. At that time I did not know the Whiddons, I had only seen them at the Paxon campmeeting one time. The next day I placed a call to Mike and introduced myself, and told him a little about our situation and asked if they could help us out, or lead us to someone who could.
To my surprise they set up a date to come to our church, and not only help us set our books in order, but to minister to our entire congregation. Mike and Myrna Whiddon are a blessing to the body of Christ. They have helped us so much. They set up our book keeping on the computer, helped us to obtain our state sales tax exemption, put together a corporate book for us, and have Inspired the leadership team of our church. I cannot say enough good about them, I highly recommend them to any church that might need help in the area of finances, and building a strong support team in the church.
